[Kiki has thankfully discovered the video function with the help of her newfound friends! As a result, the feed clicks on to her smiling face, tired line beneath her eyes. She waves.]

Hi everybody. I hope this is working...my egg hatched!

[Excitedly, she turns the camera, showing off a short little Minccino...busily dusting off everything, using his tail as a duster.]

He really, really likes cleaning. I named him Sweep. Stop dusting and say hello, Sweep!

[At the sound of his name, the Minccino perks up, turning towards Kiki with a happy peep. She giggles, turning the camera back to herself. She looks a bit sad.]

Did any of you have pets back home? Just curious. [A beat.]

Um, yeah. Bye!

I didn't quite have any pets, but everyone in Skyloft had a Loftwing partner. [Smiling quietly, this guy is in the doorway with his Eevee on his shoulder. Carrying his egg still since it seems to need more time, there's a peeking top of egg sticking out from the blanket Link has it wrapped in.]

Though many of the Remlits there were pets to people in the academy and around the village.

[She looks over at him, patting the ground next to him for him to sit.]

A Loftwing? Is that a kind of bird? And what's a Remlit?

Yeah, a large one that can be ridden. [He'll accept that offer of a seat, moving in to make himself comfortable beside her.] And a Remlit is kind of like.. [Link points up at the Eevee, who gives a sleepy mew. He's napping, don't be pointing at me man!]

But cream colored and with a longer, ringed tail.

[Sweep peeps and moves to dust off Link WHY IS EVERYTHING SO DIRTY AUGH and then Link's Eevee.]

A bird you can ride...huh. Seems a lot more convenient than a broomstick, that's for sure.

[Blinking at the sudden sweeping, but he can't help chuckling lightly when his Eevee gets swept. Indignant with being treated as dirty, the brown Pokemon hops up with a huff and flicks his tail.]

There's more to hold onto, that's all. [Tilting his head a touch, Link has to ask.] How do you use a broomstick to fly though?

[Sweep peeps impatiently. Your tail is all dusty!!]

Well, you could ride on anything, if you were strong enough--a broom is just traditional. We fly with our... [One hand rises up, over her chest.] Our spirit. Our willpower.

[The idea of simply using ones self to do that brings something of an awed expression to Links face, his smile growing.] I like the sound of that. I suppose in that case, a broom would be easiest to start with since it's small, right?

[Eevee is simply going to flick his tail again, then hop down and shake aaaall of his fur, showing just how not-dirty he is. Nuh uh!]

Yes, and it's something everyone has around the house. Plus, it's easy to make a new one if your old one breaks.

[See? All thought out.]

That's a really good idea. [Though nothing can replace his Loftwing, flying like that would be... well, he'd try it before he knocked it.]

So do you have a pet waiting for you at home? [Don't think Linky didn't see that sad expression when she asked.]

[Getting huffy, Sweep decides that he'll go work on the floor, instead. SO THERE.]

[For her part, Kiki shrugs a bit, drawing inwards.]

Mm-hmm. My cat, Jiji. I miss him a lot...

[No, she's not upset to the point of wibbling, but she really does miss him.]

[~~TP explained what cats are to him when they first met and were ultimately confused about the animals~~ Eevee huffs a YEAH SO THERE, before tiredly plopping into his trainers lap.]

I see. I'm sure he misses you as well. [Link isn't the best at this reassuring-via-words thing, but he'll certainly try.]

Witches are raised with their black cat since birth. I've known Jiji for thirteen years; we've never been apart.

[She gathers up her knees.]

This is the longest I've ever been without him.

[It sounds tough, it really does. Frowning in concern and lacking the words to comfort, Link instead reaches to gently rest his hand on her head.]

[Instead of drawing into herself, Kiki draws into Link's warm presence, ducking her head a bit under the pressure of his hand. It's comforting.]

I kind of miss having him around with his...running commentary on things. He was always so sarcastic about everything, his sense of humor was really weird.

[She says it fondly though, not overwhelmed by sadness.]

He could talk? [It's a soft question; while the Remlits at home couldn't talk, there were several creatures on the surface world that could.] It sounds like he was very observant though, to comment on things so often.
