[Kiki has thankfully discovered the video function with the help of her newfound friends! As a result, the feed clicks on to her smiling face, tired line beneath her eyes. She waves.]

Hi everybody. I hope this is working...my egg hatched!

[Excitedly, she turns the camera, showing off a short little Minccino...busily dusting off everything, using his tail as a duster.]

He really, really likes cleaning. I named him Sweep. Stop dusting and say hello, Sweep!

[At the sound of his name, the Minccino perks up, turning towards Kiki with a happy peep. She giggles, turning the camera back to herself. She looks a bit sad.]

Did any of you have pets back home? Just curious. [A beat.]

Um, yeah. Bye!

I wonder if there are any cats here...they'd probably be really funny-looking.

There are some cats. They're not too strange. At least not by pokémon standards.

Oh? Do you have one?

[She can't help but be curious.]

Insects and dragons and birds and fish, yes, but no cats. I have seen them around, though.

Maybe I should think about getting one...since Sweep really isn't much trouble, so far. I think I could manage a cat.

The pokémon are pretty easy to care for, even if some of them can be a handful.

[ Her gaze flicks off-screen, and she gives a pointed "yeah, I mean you" look to whatever's there. Her Pidgeot lets out an indignant cry in response. ]

[Kiki laughs.]

I've seen people with...as many as six. That's a lot of pets.

I have ten, myself. You can only keep six on you at a time, though.
